What a CBR Building, Pest & Compliance Report Covers
The Building, Pest and Compliance Report is our most complete report for ACT properties. It combines a structural condition assessment, a timber pest inspection and a compliance check on every structure on the property, all in one visit.
The building component assesses the structural condition of the property against AS 4349.1, carried out in person by a licensed builder. Thermal imaging is used to find defects hidden behind walls and ceilings. The pest component covers termites, borers and wood decay, carried out to AS 4349.3.
The compliance component is what sets this report apart. It checks that structures on the property, extensions, decks, sheds, carports and the like, are approved and compliant. In the ACT, unapproved or non compliant work can become the new owner's responsibility, so identifying it before you buy can save a great deal of money and stress.
Findings are compiled into a single, detailed report within 24 to 48 hours, giving you the fullest possible picture before you commit.
