What a CBR Building & Pest Report Covers
The Building and Pest Report combines a structural condition assessment and a timber pest inspection in one visit, covering the two things buyers most need to know before they commit.
The building component assesses the structural condition of the property against AS 4349.1, carried out in person by a licensed builder with over 15 years in residential construction. Thermal imaging is used to find defects hidden behind walls and ceilings.
The pest component covers termites, borers and wood decay, carried out to AS 4349.3, across the interior, exterior, roof void and subfloor wherever safely accessible, along with the conducive conditions that attract and support pests.
Findings from both are compiled into a single, easy to follow report within 24 to 48 hours. Because CBR operates independently of agents and builders, findings are reported as they are, not softened to keep a sale moving.
A combined building and pest report is $800, including GST, which is better value than booking a $650 building report and a $400 pest inspection separately. A firm quote is provided before booking.
