A NatHERS energy efficiency rating tells you how a home performs for comfort and running costs, before you buy or when you are preparing to sell. CBR provides ratings using second generation NatHERS software, the current accredited assessment method.
The rating assesses the building's thermal performance, how well it holds warmth in winter and stays comfortable in summer, based on its construction, orientation, glazing, insulation and sealing. The result is a star rating along with the information you need to understand the home's energy performance.
Ratings are available as part of a pre purchase package, as a standalone assessment on an existing home, or for units being listed for sale where a rating is required or helpful.
Where improvements would lift performance, these can be identified so you understand what the home needs to become more comfortable and cheaper to run.
